Since its inception in 1994, this popular after-school tutoring program has provided much needed one-on-one academic assistance to dozen of at-risk elementary school-aged children in Windsor. This individualized attention has helped students boost their self-esteem, improve their school performance and develop a lifetime of joy in learning.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Windsor Board of Education, a school bus transports the students to Grace Episcopal Church where they meet their tutors--all volunteers from area high schools--two times a week for two hours. Tutors help with homework and provide assistance with learning fundamentals during the first hour, and take part in recreational activities during the second hour.

But for the program to continue to grow and flourish, we need a large increase in our financial base.
