Cool Kids Clothes sells "gently used" infant, toddler and boys and girls clothing, sizes newborn through boy's and girl's size 14.

Winter clothes are arriving daily, so please be sure to stop in and check us out!. We also carry party dresses and boy's dress clothes, so think of us as the holiday season approaches.

Grace Episcopal Church, "on the Green" in Windsor, opened this consignment store for childrens' clothes in October 2004. Cool Kids Clothes, is an outreach program of Grace Church operated out of the lower level of the Church. The store accepts gently used children's clothes (sizes newborn to 14) and, when the clothes are sold, splits the sales proceeeds with the people who consigned the clothes. The store will also happily accept clothes as donations.

This store is managed by Melissa Rickard, with assistance from her mother Linda and other dedicated volunteers. Melissa is visually impaired (she is almost completely blind) and has experienced great difficulty in finding a job because of her disability. "Cool Kids Clothes" will give her the opportunity to work at a meaningful job, and will also allow families in the community to buy good quality used children's clothes at low prices. We hope that the store will also provide job opportunities for other disabled young people in the future.

Melissa makes use of adaptive equipment to assist her in performing day-to-day activities in the store. For example, she has a "bill reader" that enables her to distinguish different denominations of paper money. She recently acquired a computer, with adaptive software, that will enable her to track the clothing inventory.

Cool Kids Clothes is presently accepting consignments of toddler boys' and girls' winter clothes, and hats, mittens and boots in all sizes. We hope to see you in our store soon.
